On June 23 a GMAT cheating scandal was revealed, GMAC announced that they had won a copyright judgment against scoretop.com. The site was accused of publishing questions that were still in use on GMAT exams.
GMAC have announced they will cancel the scores of any student who knowingly used the website to cheat on the GMAT, proving disastrous for any students who used the website.
Students who used knowingly used these “live” questions may face rejected applications, expulsion from MBA programs and graduate sanctions, which may prove disastrous for students as the GMAT is required for admissions to most top MBA programs in the UK and Europe and nearly all schools in the US.
It is increasingly important to prepare well for the GMAT exam and achieve a competitive score, due to the increase in applications to business school. However, this scandal highlights the need to prepare with reputable programs with the ability to provide realistic GMAT preparation without risking your future.
