Kaplan's GMAT Online Tutoring service allows you to benefit from the expertise of a Kaplan GMAT instructor who will provide a bespoke GMAT preparation program tailored to your own specific needs and goals.

Tutoring is conducted entirely online via webcam and screensharing through Skype™ video calls. You will meet with your tutor at times to suit you, and proceed at your own pace, tracking your performance as you go.

You will be matched with a tutor based on your needs and availability. Before your first tutoring session you will take a GMAT diagnostic test which is scored online. The results of this test will allow you and your tutor to focus your teaching sessions on the areas where you need the most help and can make the greatest improvement.

In addition to your tutoring sessions, you will receive a full set of books and materials, plus access to Kaplan's exclusive GMAT Online Center which includes homework assignments, Lessons-on-Demand™, 9 full-length practice tests, access to GMAT Anywhere Course lessons PLUS your tutoring will be covered by Kaplan's unbeatable Higher Score Guarantee.

How It Works

Online tutoring works in the exactly the same way as traditional tutoring. The only difference is that service comes to you, wherever you are. Connect with your tutor from home, work, or anywhere with an internect connection.

We use an efficient combination of free voice and video calls via Skype™, webcams to provide visual interaction with your tutor, and screensharing technology to replicate a physical tutoring environment.

Skype is free to install and can be accessed anywhere. If you do not already have a Skype account then you will be required to create one.

Scheduling Online Tutoring Hours

Private tutoring hours are scheduled based on the availability of you and your tutor. Below are estimates of advised time periods in which to complete your private tutoring hours. You should consider time outside of your lessons to review, study, and complete any homework or assignments. Time periods may vary slightly based on availability and the needs of the student.

35 hours: 3-4 months
25 hours: 2-3 months
15 hours: 4-6 weeks

Your materials will be shipped to you before your first tutoring session. There is a €50 charge for postage and packaging to addresses in EIRE.

GMAT Test Details

The GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is required for entry into MBA programs at many business schools. It is a test of reading, writing, and mathematical skills, and does not test any specific subject or business knowledge.

The GMAT is a computer adaptive test which can be taken throughout the year at testing centers worldwide. It takes 3.5 hours to sit the GMAT (1 hour Writing, 1.25 hours Quantitative, 1.25 hours Verbal).

The test is scored from 200 to 800 and candidates also receive subscores for the Quant and Verbal parts, plus a separate score for the essays of the Writing section.
