Course Structure

Prior to joining the Live Online Classroom, students need to complete the first BMAT Practice test. This will be sent to students prior to the course, along with their other course materials.

Completing this practice test will allow students to join the class having experienced the pressures of a BMAT test, and will be familiar with the styles of questions which are asked in each section of the test.

Once the tuition is complete, you will complete the two remaining practice tests to solidify the learning from your course - of course your BMAT teacher is available via email should you have any questions.

Course Materials

As part of your Live Online Course, you will receive:

  • Instruction by an expertly-trained teacher: teaching focuses on critical thinking, problem solving, time-saving techniques and Kaplan proven strategies for each questions type.

  • Strategy Book: The ultimate reference for raising your score: Details Kaplan problem-solving techniques, reviews time management techniques, offers essay-writing guidelines and includes sample essays.

  • Five full-length practice tests: Detailled answers and explanations are available for all questions to ensure your understanding.

  • Ongoing Academic Support until Test Day.

The BMAT Test

The BMAT is a 2-hour paper-based test which is offered on one date per year. In 2011, the test date is the 2nd of November.

Students sit the BMAT at their school, or can find an open test centre at www.bmat.org.uk

The test should be taken by students in the same year as they are applying to university. Scores cannot be transfered from year to year, and the test may only be taken once per year.
