Kaplan's UKCAT preparation course consists of four half-day sessions spread over 2 consecutive days. The course focuses on critical thinking and problem-solving skills with plenty of practice using Kaplan strategies for each question type. You will be taught time-saving techniques essential to performing your best on this tightly-timed exam. The course is led by Kaplan-trained teachers, using Kaplan's proven strategies and techniques.

Course Materials

UKCAT Strategy Book

Detailing Kaplan strategies for each question type on the UKCAT and provides an introduction to computer-based and multiple-choice aptitude tests. It also includes time management techniques, and extra UKCAT practice questions.

Five Full-length UKCAT Practice Tests

Timing on the UKCAT is extremely important. To increase your familiarity with UKCAT-style test questions and build your stamina, we offer one two-length UKCAT practice exams during class and three additional UKCAT practice tests are provided for students to take after the course. These help students practice pacing & become familiar with the format of the UKCAT test.

Ongoing Academic Support

Course enrolment includes email access to UKCAT teachers until your test date. Teachers will be available to answer academic questions that arise during your self-study following the course.

Private Tuition is a flexible option—we tailor the lessons to your specific needs.

Tuition packages begin at 10 hours and include all course materials.

About the UKCAT

The UKCAT is an admissions test which is required by approximately 30 UK universities if you are looking to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary science.

The test is available for students to take between July and October.

Test Format

The UKCAT is a multiple-choice computer-based test made up of the following 5 sections:

1. Verbal Reasoning
2. Quantitative Reasoning
3. Abstract Reasoning
4. Decision Analysis
5. Non-cognitive

Test Scores

Each section is scored between 300-900 points except for the final section for which you receive a brief summary.
